A mischievous elf in Irish folklore. One of a race of elves in Irish folklore who can reveal hidden treasure to those who catch them.

A gnome is a legendary creature characterized by its very small size and subterranean lifestyle.

The word gnome is derived from the New Latin gnomus. It is often claimed to descend from the Greek gnosis meaning knowledge but more likely comes from genomos meaning earth dweller

Featured in Germanic fairy tales such as those by the Brothers Grimm, the gnome often resembles a gnarled old man living deep underground who guards buried treasure.

Any of the resin gnome ornaments could be used indoor or out and would be great outdoors during the summer perhaps hiding behind a garden flower or feature.
